Problem Statement from the client

The client is a leading Household items shopping center chain. They were looking for the renovation of their building in Bengaluru. The hindrance to start the project was unavailability of As Built data / Inaccurate area statements of the entire building.

Scope of Work

The solution provided to the client was “Laser Scanning of basebuild (core & Shell) Services.

As-built BIM Modelling of core and shell for the ASMEPF services, so that the BIM model can be used as a base to plan interior fit out works effectively.

Project Timeline

The overall timeline was 4 weeks, Site scanning activity was completed in 1 week. Registration of the Scanned data, Modeling and Sheet generation tasks were completed in 3 weeks.

Key Challenges & How we solved the problem

Inorder to meet the stringent deadline of 4weeks, Survey team had to complete the site scanning job in 1 weeks, To complete the job on time 2 laser scanners accompanied by 2 survey technicians were deployed at site.

To initiate the project planning, Area statements were delivered with respect to individual rooms and the floor levels of all the floors with actual site images were provided.

Outcome or How the client got benefitted

The Asbuilt drawings of the Core and Shell(Basebuild) services were delivered on a stringent timeline of 4 weeks, which helped the clients interior design team to start the job as per the agreed schedule with accurate input existing site data.  Ceiling Scans helped to identify the existing services and Beam locations. Details of Facade Elevations of each block and Campus outer walls length, Dimensions and Building sections, helped the client for planning of the Fit out services and Tendering purposes.
